For years, Dave Bohannon and Michael Foley each had a vision of opening a restaurant by the water. As history would have it they both ended up living on the beach and becoming friends. Many months and many discussions later surf burger officially opened its doors.
The ideal restaurant to Dave and Michael consisted of a simple menu, with limited items, which would be cooked to perfection. Keeping it simple was their motto from the beginning. Top priority for Michael and Dave was the food needed to be delicious, the atmosphere and service friendly..
Alice Bohannon and Debra Foley had a vision of what the restaurant would be like on the inside and with the help of many friends and family this too became a reality. Surf movies and island music are played in the restaurant. Old beach and surfer artwork is displayed on the walls. The owners, family and local artists helped with the painting and design of the tables, chairs, walls and bathrooms. The owners, Alice, Debra, Dave, Michael and their children Jack, Haley, Brad and Adam love this place so much that on any given day one of us or all of us will be seen working, eating, drinking, or just mingling among our friends and customers.
